New York Distiller Series: Meet Jody Garrett of Saint Lawrence Distillery

Jody Garrett is a native Son of northern NY. Growing up hunting and fishing on Lucky Star Ranch the farm that is now the base for Saint Lawrence Spirits distillery. After graduating from College he joined the U S Arming serving as an Airborne Ranger and Blackhawk Pilot. After his 10 yrs of service he came back to the north country to take over the family Overhead Door Company Business. With his wife Doreen, together they began the next journey by starting Saint Lawrence Spirits. They purchased Lucky Star Ranch in 2006. With the purchase they wanted to make the best use of the 2000 acres not only for hunting and fishing, but sustainable agriculture. Starting a distillery and growing their own corn proved to be the best option. Jody went to Moonshine University in Louisville Kentucky to learn all the steps of distillery operations and spirits production. Jody, along with his wife Doreen and son Bill are producing award winning spirits.
