The 2021 Cascina Baricchi Barbera d'Alba Riva della Coda is a heady, bombastic wine. Succulent blackberry fruit, licorice, spice and menthol saturate the palate. This potent Barbara is certainly not shy. Styalistically it is also quite opulent relative to the Barbarescos. The 2021 cries for food.

2021 vintage
Dense in color, with rich and intense aromas of cherry juice, pomegranate syrup, wildflowers and baking spice. The palate is lush and soft with notes of cranberry and wild herbs and finishes with the acidity needed to keep the wine together.
