About This Wine
Producer Notes
Ruby red colour, open wine. In nose it offers redcurrant, white pepper, thyme and mineral notes. In mouth it feels fresh, with firm tannins and it is medium-bodied. Redcurrant flavour with mineral texture and forest floor aftertaste. This is an intense and complex wine with high length.
Critical Acclaim
The red 2020 Arom is completely different from the wines I tasted before, as it’s now pure Garnacha from Calatayud, from vineyards in the villages of Acered, Alarba and Atea on slate, quartzite and limestone glacis soils. It fermented with 50% full clusters and matured exclusively in concrete. 2020 was a very rainy year in Calatayud, a year of cooler temperatures, and the wines are fluid and fresh. This is very primary and fruit driven, tasty and juicy, with fine tannins and very easy to drink. 10,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in September 2021.
