Ripe and savory with aromas of blackcurrants, chocolate, blueberry bush, graphite and cedar. The full-bodied palate has robust tannins and a generously textured mouthfeel, leading into a salty, juicy and austere finish. Nicely constructed. Drink or hold. Screw cap.

The 2024 Cabernet Sauvignon Phoenix is elegantly proportioned. It displays blackcurrant and fruit pastille aromas alongside a subtle leafiness. Lightweight and compact with bright berry flavours, the 2024 boasts nicely balance al dente tannins. This wine is already approachable but has the structure to build over the next five years. Excellent value. Drink 2026-2033.

Oh-so-Aussie straight from sniff one. Oodles of luscious blackberry fruit steal the show, with black pepper, violet and some chocolate oak waiting in the wings. Mouth-coating with dusty tannins, this is a rich, primary wine now that could benefit from a plate of protein or a few more years in bottle.
