About This Wine
Tasting Notes
Deep ruby-violet in color. The bouquet is complex and intense, opening with aromas of dark cherry, blackcurrant, and plum, accented by notes of fresh eucalyptus, tobacco leaf, black pepper, and subtle toasted oak vanilla. Full-bodied and structured on the palate, it exhibits a dense core of juicy dark fruits and savory dried herbs supported by bright, balancing acidity and fine-grained, grippy tannins, concluding with a long, elegant finish marked by lingering spice and graphite minerality.

Critical Acclaim
Creamy cassis, dark olives and tomato leaf with hints of cedar and incense. A flattering, full-bodied red with creamy oak and fine-grained tannins on the palate, before a long finish with some vanilla and sweet spices. Drink from 2023.
The 2020 Red Blerd Gran Reserva Etiqueta Azul is mostly Cabernet Sauvignon with 10% Syrah, 9% Cabernet Franc and 6% Malbec from Fundo Tarapacá in the Maipo Valley. Aged in varied-use barrels for up to 16 months, it’s an intense purple in color with a nose of cassis, black tea, spice, bay leaf and other subtle flavors. Sugary and voluminous, it delivers active, fine-grained tannins that gently tickle the gums. Balsamic flavors appear toward the end. A well-made red from a warm terroir. (Joaquín Hidalgo)
