This is a rich, deep-colored wine with plenty of dark fruit, including currant and blackberry, and notes of dark chocolate and coffee. It is well balanced, with ripe tannins and a lingering finish. The fruit for this wine comes from the area well known for Chateau Montelena. In short, a very good Napa Cab for the price. Enjoy with grilled lamb burgers.

Besides ever present dark berry aromas and flavors, there's a welcome hint of fresh dill that provides some complexity. This Cab remains fresh and racy all the way through the finish in order to take on a double cheeseburger or saucy BBQ brisket.
