Antoine Sunier Antoine Sunier Régnié 2021 750ml

The 2021 Régnié is matured 50% in concrete vats for seven months and just sulphited before bottling. This has a little more cohesion than the Montremond, a little more backward in style. It’s nicely focused with fine tannins and a mineral-driven finish. This has the upper hand over the Montremond at the moment. (Neal Martin)

Pale and delicate, but with a lovely silkiness on the palate that barely tips the scales at medium-bodied. More floral aromas than red berries, but they are there too. There’s a hint of herbal character, but with aeration this seems to gain in weight. Still very youthful. Drinkable now, but best from 2024. (Stuart Pigott)
