Critical Acclaim

JS 92 James Suckling 2023 vintage

Attractive nose of blackcurrants and sour cherries with notes of red beets and licorice. Excellent balance of restrained fruit, elegant tannins and delicate freshness. Builds gently to a crescendo finish. Vegan. Drink or hold. Screw cap.

VN 89 Vinous 2023 vintage Feb 2025

The 2023 Cabernet Franc Nutt Road Vineyard is a pure, varietally correct wine with loads of leather, tobacco, raspberry and strawberry. Done entirely in stainless steel, the 2023 is built on freshness. Intended to be a “bistro red,” it manages to be accessible without betraying its Cabernet Franc-ness. I admire the balance of light texture, chalky tannins and bright crunchy fruit. It's just a hair austere on the finish, but the fruit is of solid quality. (Billy Norris)
