Critical Acclaim

RP 96 Robert Parker's Wine Advocate 2019 vintage

The 2019 Pinot Noir Nysa Vineyard comes from more than 30-year-old, own-rooted vines on an east-facing slope in the Dundee Hills, part of the original Domaine Drouhin property, planted to Pommard, Wadenswil and Dijon clone vines. Medium ruby, it’s nuanced and layered on the nose, with tar, cured meats and pepper and a core of wild blackberries. The palate is elegant and seamless, opening from savory to floral tones and finishing with an uplifted, ethereal quality. This will be released in the spring of 2022.

WE 94 Wine Enthusiast 2019 vintage 3/1/2023

Nysa Vineyard is a magical Dundee Hills location where you can almost envision the frolicking nymphs of Greek mythology teaching young Dionysus a thing or two about mature, own-rooted vines. This wine is a worthy nod to such myths. There’s an earthiness here that comes across as a combination of lilies and smoked oysters on the nose, with notes of dark cherries and a fresh ocean breeze. The wine’s smooth mouthfeel and silky tannins complement raspberry and black-pepper flavors that seemingly go on forever. (Michael Alberty)

VN 94 Vinous 2019 vintage Feb 2022

Limpid ruby. Black raspberry, cherry cola and floral aromas are complemented by an exotic spice nuance and hints of succulent herbs and smoky minerals. Well-concentrated yet nervy, offering penetrating red and blue fruit, candied rose and allspice flavors supported by an undercurrent of juicy acidity. Finishes impressively long and seamless, displaying lingering red berry preserve and spice notes and discreet tannins. (Josh Raynolds)

JS 92 James Suckling 2019 vintage Tuesday, August 9, 2022

Aromas of black and red fruit, leather and clove. Medium-bodied with fine, silky tannins. Ripe and slightly brooding. Drink or hold. (James Suckling)
