Critical Acclaim
Very ripe and opulent but pretty fresh at the same, with plenty of blackberries, some fresh figs, dark chocolate and flowers. Very concentrated on the full-bodied palate with ripe, densely packed tannins. Rich, very flavorful and long. Pretty hedonistic for 2021. Flamboyant, flavorful and extravagant. 17 months in barrels, of which 50% is new oak. 81% cabernet sauvignon, 8% carmenere, 5% petit verdot, 3% cabernet franc and 3% syrah. Drink or hold.
Ripe berries and earthy tones introduce a bold Cabernet Sauvignon-based blend from the Maipo Valley. Finely grained tannins hold a palate that bursts with dark chocolate notes and bright strawberry, raspberry and plum flavors. Optimal acidity adds freshness and extends notes of oregano and other dried herbs into the finish.
A harmonious red that leads with savory olive, cassis and cigar box details, with a graphite hint to the densely packed core of blackberry, plum and cassis. There's nice persistence, with acidity moving things to the finish around well-integrated tannins and a lingering berry note. Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenère, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc and Syrah. Drink now through 2040. 4,500 cases made, 361 cases imported.
