Critical Acclaim
Notes of spiced cherries and red plums with hints of cocoa, walnuts and dried herbs. Fresh and juicy with a medium body and vivid acidity. Tannins are soft and polished with a firm, red-fruited finish. Drink or hold. (James Suckling)
The 2022 Rosso D’Uco is a blend of 70% Sangiovese, 20% Syrah and 10% Merlot from the Uco Valley and was 40% aged for 12 months in used French oak barrels. Ruby-red with a garnet sheen. The nose presents sour cherry, dried flower, delicate herb, undergrowth and rose petal aromas. The tart, light palate has a silky flow and refined tannins, making this a distinctive red. An elegant, approachable and polished red, with floral thyme and fresh clay undertones to the juicy and well-spiced flavors of red currant and maraschino cherry that linger nicely on the finish around smooth tannins.
