About This Wine
Producer Notes
Intense cherry red with ruby reflections. Clean and bright. Aromas of black fruit, spicy background with hints of black pepper and clove. Notes of rosemary, cistus and black licorice. Noble attack, ample, serious and balanced. Black fruits, light smoky background with hints of toffee, flint and cistus. Unctuous and pleasant, with a fresh and long finish. Pair with grilled octopus leg, beef stew with mushrooms and raspberry cheesecake.
Critical Acclaim
A well-knit red, with a lovely range of plum sauce and black raspberry, licorice, cocoa powder and bay leaf notes structured by limber, fine-grained tannins. Harmonious, with a spiced finish. Drink now through 2037. 13,000 cases made, 7,000 cases imported.
The 2022 Termes is Tinta de Toro from old vineyards in Toro. Frames by delicate elevage, it opens with red fruit, plum and a touch of blueberry, layered with dried herbs and fine oak. It is attractive and polished. Broad and slow-moving on the palate, with a measured richness, it feels integrated through both fruit and oak. The warm year gives it notable concentration though without weighing down the flow. Drink 2026-2042.
