Ripe blackberries and a hint of tarry oak on the nose. Medium- to full-bodied with enough fruit, at first, to counter the rather heavy, polished oak. However, the oak wins out in the end and turns the finish a little bitter. Still rather chewy, too, so give it a year to pull together a little more. Should improve. Try from 2024.
