Critical Acclaim
Ripe golden fruits, honeyed minerality, a kiss of iodine, crème brûlée, and white flower notes all emerge from the appellation 2022 Chardonnay Sta. Rita Hills, and as always, it competes with the best out there, offering medium to full-bodied richness, a round, layered mouthfeel, integrated acidity, and a great finish. Sourced from the 3D, Machado, Hapgood, and Perilune vineyards, it will evolve for 15 years in cold cellars. 3,805 cases. (Jeb Dunnuck)

Mouthwatering, intense and generous, with a core of citrus flavors including Sumo orange, lime zest and salted, preserved lemon, plus fresh ginger. Pretty, aromatic notes of orange blossoms and sweetgrass linger on the long finish. Drink now. 5,600 cases made.

The 2022 Chardonnay (Sta. Rita Hills) is a fabulous introduction to the range. Served last in this series of Chardonnays, the appellation Chardonnay is perhaps a bit more floral and lighter in body, but other than that, it is in no way inferior to the vineyard designates. This is beautifully done. (Antonio Galloni)
The 2022 Chardonnay Sta. Rita Hills is a well-crafted, accessible example of the rich but focused style of Chardonnay at Brewer-Clifton. The nose combines orchard and stone fruits with hints of citrus zing and accents of struck flint. The palate is straightforward and balanced, flanked by pleasing grip and a welcome stoniness through the finish.
