A sister product to the brand’s Bourbon, Bulleit Rye is made with a mash comprising 5-percent malted barley and 95-percent rye, one of the highest percentages of rye in an American whiskey. The 45-percent alcohol-by-volume (abv) whiskey has aromas of biscuits and cookie batter, with hints of spice, white raisins and dried apricots, complemented by flavors of maple and oak. Made with water from an ancient glacier aquifer, the rye whiskey is aged in new charred oak barrels for a minimum of four years.

Given the spicy high-rye (high-impact!) mashbill on Bulleit Bourbon, you might hear Bulleit Rye and think, “Why’d they bother?” Bulleit Rye is 95% rye and 5% malt, that’s why (and if you’ve heard those ratios before, well, keep it to yourself).
