The 2019 Brunello di Montalcino is understated in the glass, with a delicate blend of dried cherries, cedar and rose petals forming its bouquet. This is softly textured with cooling acidity and juicy wild berry fruits that cascade throughout. It leaves remnants of sweet spice and pretty inner florals while finishing with medium-length and gently grippy tannins.<br/><br/>

The earthy, umami nose is headlined by aromas of warm tar, topsoil and mixed herbs, but also has a fresh blast of graphite and tart cherries. The cherries and soil dominate the palate, before a hint of bitter citrus evolves into a hot, swelling finish. Taut, fierce tannins provide structure.
