Critical Acclaim

JS 92 James Suckling 2022 vintage

Lots of ripe currants, both red and black, with spiced plums. A touch of flowers and herbs too. Juicy, chalky tannins turn nicely chewy on the medium-bodied palate, giving a tight but dusty texture to the fruit-forward finish. Vibrant and bright. From organically grown grapes. Drink from 2025.

JD 91 Jeb Dunnuck 2022 vintage

Cassis, smoky herbs, leather, and attractive spicy notes all emerge from the 2022 Château Fourcas Hosten, a charming, medium-bodied, beautifully balanced Listrac based on 53% Merlot, 44% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 3% Petit Verdot. I like it today, yet it should keep nicely for a solid 10-15+ years if well stored.

WE 89 Wine Enthusiast 2012 vintage 4/1/2013

Barrel sample. This is a perfumed wine with new-wood aromas that lend a strongly woody character. The wood buries much of the fruit at the moment, resulting in a hard and dry aftertaste.
