Critical Acclaim
The 2020 Siaurac is a racy, explosive wine that shows the more exuberant side of the vintage. Super-ripe dark cherry, plum, kirsch, mocha and new leather race out of the glass. This exuberant Lalande de Pomerol is captivating in its beauty and sheer allure, but it is very much on the more opulent side of things. (Antonio Galloni)
Paprika, plums, chopped chilis and dried herbs on the nose. It’s creamy and full-bodied with ripe and polished tannins supporting the fragrant and spicy fruit. 74% merlot, 20% cabernet franc and 6% malbec. Drink from 2027.
Beautiful, fresh, almost crunchy fruits of black cherry and mulberries emerge from the 2020 Château Siaurac, and it’s medium-bodied on the palate, with bright acidity and a balanced, clean, layered style that has lots to love. 90-92 points. (Jeb Dunnuck)
An elegant, lively wine, the 2022 Siaurac unfurls from the glass with notes of cassis, mulberries and dark berries mingled with lovely floral notes. Medium to full-bodied, round and enrobing, it's delicately fleshy and sweet, framed by velvety tannins and concluding with a long, fruity finish. More immediate than its 2021 predecessor, this will drink well young.
The 2022 Château Siaurac is juicy and forward, revealing attractive aromatics of blackberries, blueberries, leafy herbs, and damp earth. Medium-bodied, round, and supple, with well-integrated oak and good complexity, it’s going to drink well for 10-12 years.
Friendly and open in feel, with a brightness to the cherry and raspberry notes. Light red tea, tobacco and bramble hints pick up through the finish. Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Malbec. Drink now through 2029. 10,416 cases made, 200 cases imported.
