Bright burnished copper color; excellent purity. This is an elegant aromatic tribute to the glory of ripe pears; what I like so much is the balanced way this liqueur brings the pear essence to you without clubbing you with sweetness or sugar bombs; there is obvious acidity that maintains the structure without eclipsing the subtle ripe pear fragrance; terrific, understated bouquet. Entry is divinely ripe and almost a little like spiced baked pear due to the nuanced presence of cinnamon; midpalate is deeply flavorful, true to pear, mildly spicy, zesty, medium-bodied, satiny in texture. Finishes long, intensely pear-like, more off dry than sweet, elegant, supple.
