Critical Acclaim

JS 93 James Suckling 2021 vintage

The aromas of nectarines jump out of the glass with lemon blossom and crushed stone. Medium body with integrated tannins that coat and caress the palate. Fine and delicious. From organically grown grapes. Really delicious now.

WE 93 Wine Enthusiast 2021 vintage

The nose is umami, fresh and saline, with aromas of terracotta, fennel, stones polished in saltwater and wild cherries. On the palate, strawberries join more sweet wild cherries, but that salinity endures and keeps the wine feeling energetic and textured—anchored to the sea and the earth simultaneously.

JS 93 James Suckling 2022 vintage Monday, November 24, 2025

Multilayered, with subtle fresh black pepper enhanced by red roses, black cherries, smoky tones and graphite. Quite reductive. The tannins are ripe, well covered by smooth fruit, chewy acidity and a polished finish. Drink or hold.

VN 92 Vinous 2021 vintage Jun 2024

The 2021 Cerasuolo di Vittoria entices with a dusty bouquet of citrus-laced blackberries, dried violets and sweet smoke. This is pure and lifted in style, communicating undeniable elegance with a silken wave of ripe wild berry fruit that swirls throughout. It finishes classically dry yet only gently tannic, leaving hints of black raspberry and spice to linger. The 2021 is simply stunning today and has the balance to evolve beautifully through medium-term cellaring. (Eric Guido)

VN 91 Vinous 2022 vintage

Depths of black raspberry mingle with licorice and grilled herbs as the 2022 Cerasuolo di Vittoria Classico opens in the glass. Pleasantly sweet up front, it splashes across the palate with ripe wild berry fruit and a cascade of spice, all propelled by juicy acidity. The finish is crisp and lightly tannic, with a bitter tinge that calls the taster back for more. The 2022 aims to please.
