The Crown Royal Distilling Company Crown Royal Black NV 1.0L

Aged in charred barrels, this robust, nut-brown sipper has rich cocoa, toffee and caramel aromatics. It’s dry and complex on the palate, with notes of toffee, espresso, cigar wrapper and leather. It finishes bold and spicy, with a burst of alcohol heat that calls for a splash of branchwater.

Diageo North America also introduced Crown Royal Black, a line extension for its popular Canadian whisky. Released in March, the 45-percent abv spirit is darker in color than the original Crown royal and boasts a more robust, concentrated flavor due to its higher alcohol content. The whisky is aged in charred oak barrels, which gives it a woody nose with hints of maple and vanilla, and flavors of dried fruits.
