Vineyard 29 Cru Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2022 750ml

The delicious 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Cru is a terrific introduction to the Vineyard 29 style, plus it's reasonably priced and should be at least somewhat available, as 4,600 cases were produced. Black cherries, cassis and dusty earth notes mark the nose, while the medium to full-bodied palate is smooth, velvety and supple. It even adds hints of chocolate cake and black olives on the finish, each balancing out the other and providing additional complexity. (Joe Czerwinski)

Beautiful red and black fruits, new leather, graphite, and floral incense notes emerge from the 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Cru, a blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Petit Verdot, 3% Malbec, 2% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Merlot. Medium to full-bodied, round, and textured, with fine tannins, this nicely balanced effort will drink well for 8-10 years.

The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Cru Napa Valley spent 18 months in 65% new barrels, with the rest in once-used oak. Cassis, blueberries, tobacco, and smoky oak notes give way to a medium to full-bodied, nicely concentrated, textured 2021 with ripe yet firmer tannins, a terrific sense of freshness and purity, and outstanding balance. This classic, impeccably made Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is well worth seeking out and will evolve for 15+ years. (Jeb Dunnuck)

The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon CRU Oakville is dialed up to the maximum. Black cherry, spice, tobacco, mocha and new leather fill out the layers beautifully. Plush, silky contours wrap it all together. There's plenty of Oakville charm here, that's for sure.

Vineyard 29’s 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon Cru (Napa Valley) is dark, plush and explosive. Inky dark fruit, chocolate, spice, new leather and licorice are front and center. This exuberant, flamboyant wine packs quite a punch. I would prefer to drink it over the next few years. (Antonio Galloni)
