Producer Notes
Domaine Chéreau Carré is a renowned family-owned producer situated at the confluence of the Sèvre and Maine rivers in Muscadet. Known for their mastery of Melon de Bourgogne, father-and-daughter winemaking team Bernard and Louise Chéreau created the 'Mythes & Légendes' series to explore other native grape varieties of the Western Loire Valley. Represented by Pomone, the Roman deity of fruits, this 100% Sauvignon Blanc is sourced from 20- to 30-year-old vines planted on schist soils with muscovite and biotite mica in Basse-Goulaine. Vinified entirely in stainless steel without oak or MLF, it is crafted in a light, zesty, and crisp aperitif style.
