Limpid and silvery transparent; very minor, inconsequential sediment seen floating under the examination lamp. The frisky aroma after the pour reminds me strikingly of egg cream or, even better, old fashioned cream soda pop; following seven minutes of further air contact the bouquet turns as sweet, fruity, and snappy as baseball card bubble gum, vanilla Coke or cotton candy; it’s a bouquet that’s very retro, making me recall summers of my long past youth. The palate entry is sweet, intensely sugary, and beany; the midpalate flavor profile features vanilla bean and molasses (from which it is produced). Concludes well and smooth. An extra-sweet white rum by design that might be too narrow in focus for some experienced rum drinkers. That said, it’s well made.
