About This Wine
Tasting Notes
Deep garnet-purple in color. Intensely aromatic with scents of cassis, dark plum, cedarwood, crushed black pepper, and subtle hints of dried Mediterranean herbs and leather. Full-bodied and concentrated on the palate, presenting rich flavors of blackcurrant, dark chocolate, and spicy bramble fruit. Supported by firm, well-structured tannins and a vibrant core of natural acidity that carries through a long, warm, and savory finish.
Producer Notes
Founded in 1868 by François-Eugène Brun, Domaine des Tourelles is one of the oldest and most historic commercial wineries in Lebanon. Located in the western Bekaa Valley at an elevation of 1,050 meters, the winery crafts authentic wines using high-altitude fruit, indigenous fermentations in historic concrete tanks, and minimal intervention. 'Marquis des Beys' represents the estate's flagship reserve cuvée, named in tribute to the historical governors of the region and crafted from the finest high-altitude parcels of Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon.
