Producer Notes
Plan Pegau is crafted by Laurence Féraud, owner and winemaker of the iconic Domaine du Pegau. Produced from estate-grown fruit planted just outside Châteauneuf-du-Pape, this distinctive, multi-vintage blend is loaded with character and reflects the hallmark personality and style. A blend of 3 years aged in different vats, this cuvée expresses the know-how of Laurence and the richness of the terroirs. Tasting Notes: This rich, meaty red captures the essence of the Southern Rhône Valley, with layers of red and dark fruit character, soft supple tannins, and complex spice notes from extended aging in small oak barrels. Offers a true and loud echo of the traditionalstyle and profile, and is the “little brother” of the Cuvée Réservée Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Serve With: Enjoy with game, hearty stews, and grilled meats.
Critical Acclaim
Starts off with up-front, unadorned notes of cherry and plum that are plump and juicy. Then density builds, with graphite minerality and subtle brushes of vanilla, licorice and warm earth.
