About This Wine
Tasting Notes
Displays a luminous golden yellow hue in the glass. The nose is powerful and complex, led by fresh aromas of ripe orchard fruit, lemon citrus, and crushed limestone minerality. On the palate, it is rich, concentrated, and supple, offering layers of white peach and subtle spice framed by vibrant tension. It concludes with a long, clean, highly energetic mineral and saline finish.

Critical Acclaim
The 2024 Saint-Véran La Roche comes from the middle of the slope and is the only cuvée raised in pièces. The aromatics are very closed on the nose and clearly require some time. The palate is well balanced with impressive minéralité, very harmonious and poised, with just the right amount of spice and hints of mint and liquorice towards the captivating finish. Superb.
The 2022 Saint-Véran La Roche (from west-facing, 80-year-old vines that tend never to produce more than 30hL/ha) was picked on August 31, this vintage. It has a clean and precise bouquet, taut and fresh, showing delicate tension with chalk and saline scents. The palate is not unlike the A La Côte but with a little more bite towards the finish. Great length - this leaves the mouth tingling for a minute afterward.
