Domaine Jessiaume Domaine Jessiaume Auxey-Duresses 1er Cru Les Ecussaux Blanc 2023 750ml

Boasts concentrated aromas of pear and nectarine, with stylish notes of lemon peel and smoky reduction. The texture is fresh and lively yet substantial enough to linger nicely on the palate. The grapes are from the top of the south-facing slopes on the point of the climat where the vines look back at the vineyards of Meursault. This will be ready to drink soon after bottling and is perfect for mid-term ageing.

The 2023 Auxey-Duresses Les Ecussaux 1er Cru Blanc has a forthright and vigorous bouquet with yellow fruit, frangipani and light lanolin scents. It's more complex than expected and well-defined. The palate is well balanced with a keen line of acidity. The palate doesn't quite match the promise of the nose, though it's well balanced with touches of grapefruit and orange pith toward the finish. This is on par with the previous vintage.
