The 2018 Gevrey-Chambertin Champs-Chenys, from vines adjacent to Charmes-Chambertin, is well-defined on the nose, offering blackberry, bilberry, touches of meat juice and light savory notes. The medium-bodied palate is fresh and vibrant, with fine grip on the entry and an almost symmetrical poise on the graphite finish. Excellent. (Neal Martin)
