Domaine Rémi Jobard Domaine Rémi Jobard Meursault 1er Cru le Poruzot-Dessus 2018 750ml

The 2018 Meursault Poruzot-Dessus 1er Cru has an expressive, walnut and hazelnut scented bouquet that shows much more ambition than Jobard’s Village Crus. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, touches of quince and liquorice, good weight on the finish with impressive persistence. Excellent, although I find the price here rather “punchy”. (Neal Martin)

The 2018 Meursault 1er Cru Poruzots Dessus opens in the glass with aromas of pear, fresh peach, orange rind and honey. On the palate, it’s medium to full-bodied, supple and textural, with lively acids and chalky structuring dry extract, marking a step up in concentration and amplitude after the lieux-dits that preceded it.
