About This Wine
Producer Notes
With bold fruit and sculpted tannins, this Cabernet commands attention with poise and dimension. Aromas of boysenberry, black currant, and huckleberry are layered with bay leaf, baking spice, and a hint of pie crust. On the palate, blueberry, wet slate, and graham cracker move with depth and energy across a well-defined structure. The finish lingers with black cassis and cedar, offering length, clarity, and quiet strength.
Critical Acclaim
Bright and lively aromas of grilled plum, spiced cherry, and violets swirl from the glass on the nose of this Cabernet. The palate is richly tannic but zesty, with flavors of concentrated blackberry, salty plum compote, licorice, black pepper, and lemon lifting across the finish.
Bright and refined with aromas of blackberries, cassis, fresh tobacco, crushed stones and dark chocolate. The palate is full-bodied and polished with fine tannins and vibrant fruit. Defined and balanced with a touch of minerality. Drink or hold.
Bright ruby in the glass. Aromatics of ripe fruits and liqueur continue into flavors of fennel, graphite, and spiced cocoa. Polished tannins are well balanced into a lingering finish.
Slightly odd, Merlot-like notes of tomato join black cherries, cassis and cedar on the nose of the 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon (the wine does contain 7% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc). It’s medium to full-bodied, with a generally ripe, silky feel until the finish, where a touch of rusticity adds a tough edge.
