About This Wine
Tasting Notes
Inviting aromas of nectarine, pineapple, Meyer lemon, and vanilla bean with hints of toasted brioche. Rich, round, and full-bodied on the palate with vibrant layers of green apple, white peach, and subtle graham cracker spice leading to a long, polished finish.
Producer Notes
Since our inaugural vintage in 1985, Duckhorn Vineyards has been crafting classic Napa Valley Chardonnay. Sourced from cool-climate vineyards, primarily in the Carneros region, this wine reflects the diversity of Napa Valley. By combining barrel fermentation with sur-lie aging and partial malolactic fermentation, we create a wine that balances rich texture and complexity with bright acidity and pure fruit flavors.
Food Pairings
Critical Acclaim
A rich and flavorful Napa chardonnay that gives you the full flavor character with some citrus and white peach character. Plenty of flavor but turns reserved at the end. Complex with some malo, wood and lees stirring undertones. Restrained finish. Drink now. (James Suckling)
A well-balanced, generous chardonnay with aromas of lemon confit, salted nuts, wet stones and spices. The palate is mid-weighted with bright acidity and a textural, rounded mouthfeel. Drink now. Screw cap.
Fresh orchard fruit, lemon pith, citrus peel and spicy herbs define the nose. The palate is vivid and juicy, with medium to full body and crunchy acidity. Creamy and sleek with a flavorful, fruit-driven finish. Drink now or hold. Screw cap.
Aromas of butterscotch, roasted pear tart, and vanilla cream drive the nose of this Chardonnay. The palate brings rich texture with flavors of baked apple, sweet cinnamon, Meyer lemon, and marzipan in a framework of supple acid and decadent barrel spice.
Strikes a vivid balance between its juicy fruit flavors of lemon curd, tangerine and ripe melon and its touch of chewy dried apricot, plus toasty, spicy nuances. Salted butterscotch, black cardamom and gingersnap notes linger on the harmonious and creamy finish. Drink now through 2036. 80,000 cases made.
