E&J Distillers E&J XO American Brandy NV 750ml

Brilliant copper color; excellent clarity. This first aroma emits pleasurable scents of spiced fruits (pear especially), old leather/men's club, allspice, tobacco; later hits feature oaky vanilla, sawdust. Entry is delicately sweet, fruity, ripe, zesty, spicy; midpalate mirrors all the attributes of the entry and piles on caramel, nougat, almond paste, vanilla bean, cake frosting. Lots happening here and a terrific price/quality ratio brandy that's always been good and ten years down the road is improving to the point where it's now riding the three star/four star fence.
