Aeration allows aromas of oak, winter holiday spice and vanilla cake frosting to emerge. Supple palate entry, moderately honeyed; midpalate highlights include the buttery/creamy texture and tastes of cocoa, fiber, ash and beans. Sophisticated and world-class.

Gorgeous tawny/henna/chestnut color; sediment free. First whiffs are all about beeswax/paraffin and butcher's wax paper plus oak resin/tee sap; secondary inhalations pick up toasted nuts, creosote, palm oil, and dates. Entry is sweet, oily, resiny, raisiny, cheese-like; mid-palate goes nutty, dense, honeyed, intensely brown sugar-like, silky in texture, slightly metallic. Concludes deeply flavorful, bigger than the 15 year old sibling, idiosyncratic, coin-like/nickel-like, tree sap, nutty. Liked this and the 15 year old a lot but my money is still on the incredible 8 and 12 year olds.
