Critical Acclaim

JD 94 Jeb Dunnuck 2023 vintage 11/11/2025

The old vine cuvée from this notable estate shows a touch more density and depth, but certainly in the same style as the classic cuvée with its pretty, pure, floral character. Black raspberries, sappy spring flowers, and peppery nuances all shine from the 2023 Châteauneuf Du Pape Vieilles Vignes Elisabeth Chambellan, which is based on 88% Grenache, 10% Syrah, and 2% Mourvèdre and aged 11 months in a mix of foudre, stainless steel tanks, and concrete. It's medium-bodied, has a layered, seamless mouthfeel, ripe tannins, and outstanding length. Drink this complex, nuanced, beautifully polished wine over the coming 10-15 years. There are roughly 1,666 cases produced. Drink 2025-2040.

JD 93 Jeb Dunnuck 2022 vintage 10/29/2024

Classic Provençal black cherries, roasted garrigue, pepper, and savory spice notes emerge from the 2022 Châteauneuf Du Pape Vieilles Vignes Elisabeth Chambellan, another incredibly charming, medium-bodied, elegant 2022 that has silky, integrated tannins and a great finish. A blend of 88% Grenache, 10% Syrah, and 2% Mourvèdre from La Crau and La Font du Pape, it should drink nicely over the coming 10-12 years or so. (Jeb Dunnuck)

VN 92 Vinous 2022 vintage Jun 2024

The 2022 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Elisabeth Chambellan Vieilles Vignes is a spicy and juicy red that’s polished and refreshing. Soft tannins provide a seamless mouthfeel, all balanced by a sufficient amount of vivid acidity. Full-bodied and expressive, the delicious 2022 won’t need much time to come around.
