Critical Acclaim

JS 96 James Suckling 2023 vintage Friday, January 16, 2026

Aromas of red and dark fruit, crushed stones, dried herbs, flowers and salt-cured meat. The palate is tightly woven with a silken mouthfeel, fine tannins and a succulent, minerally finish. A wine of real nerve and approachability young, with ample aging potential. A good example of what a cool vintage in a cool appellation can produce. Drink or hold.

SP 93 Wine Spectator 2023 vintage April 2025

Very solid Cabernet here, with punchy energy to its dark currant and blackberry preserve core that leads leading the way, while licorice, alder and tobacco and bay accents fill in throughout. A late cast iron notes peeks out on the finish adding length and range. Approachable, but no rush. Drink now through 2036. Tasted twice, with consistent notes.

JS 92 James Suckling 2022 vintage Thursday, April 10, 2025

A bold, ripe and powerful red that’s also quite broad and smooth in texture. Aromas of rose petals, raspberries and red cherries, with deeper black cherries and blueberries on the mid-palate and finish. Tobacco leaves and wild sage, too. Full-bodied. Drink now or hold.

JD 91 Jeb Dunnuck 2023 vintage 12/22/2025

Based on 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and aged 20 months in 25% new French oak, the 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon is solid, offering earthy red and black fruits intermixed with leafy underbrush, tobacco, and chocolate. It's medium to full-bodied, has a balanced mouthfeel, and shows the more structured style of the vintage with outstanding length. Drink this well-made effort over the coming 10-12 years. Drink 2025-2037.

RP 90 Robert Parker's Wine Advocate 2022 vintage Feb 27, 2025

Faust's 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon features attractive aromas of dried herbs, pencil shavings, black cherries and cassis. It's medium to full-bodied and rather easy-drinking, not overly concentrated or rich but with enough texture to make it a steakhouse staple.

JD 90 Jeb Dunnuck 2022 vintage 9/2/2025

Spiced (mostly red) fruits, flowers, and baking spice notes define the 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon, a medium-bodied, very soft, supple, and front end-loaded effort with a nicely balanced, charming mouthfeel, ripe tannins, and a good finish. Based on 86% Cabernet Sauvignon complemented with Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc, it was aged 20 months in French oak, 25% new. It's upfront and ready to go. Drink 2025-2030.

SP 88 Wine Spectator 2022 vintage August 4, 2025

A friendly style, with a mix of up-front blueberry, açaí and boysenberry compote notes that show just enough structural support, while anise and violet flicker through. Drink now through 2028. 50,000 cases made.
