The 2020 Nero d’Avola Chiaramonte is perfumed in the glass. Violet florals complement black cherries and cloves. Silky and supple, this impresses with its purity of fruit and saline minerality that adds a pleasantly tactile feel toward the close. The 2020 finishes spicy and long yet relatively fresh with licorice and sour cherry notes that pucker the cheeks. (Eric Guido)
