The 2021 Pecorino La Canaglia wafts up with musky citrus tones, wild herbs and a hint of white pepper. This is a soft yet high-energy effort with stimulating acidity and lime-tinged orchard fruits that create a reverberation of tension on the palate. It finishes with cheek-puckering freshness while leaving a hint of sour melon that sticks around. This is a good effort, but I crave a more defined and bright expression on the nose. (Eric Guido)
