Critical Acclaim
This elegantly done 2023 Sarcerre is a success in a difficult vintage. However, due to fanleaf virus and millerandage, yields are naturally lower than in full-strength vineyards, which was welcome in the high-yielding 2023 season. Its texture is the winner here, which is fire and chalky and offers mouthwatering acidity. It is appealing and easy to enjoy with fresh apple and pear fruit.

There's a spritz to the 2024 Sancerre at this early stage. It is the first bottling of April 2025, which gives this a sense of liveliness. It's easy to like with gooseberry, boxwood and elderflower flavors. The 2024 is round and supple with balanced acidity. This is approachable from the start.
