About This Wine
Producer Notes
Color: from ruby red, it changes, with age, to garnet red. Bouquet: ample and persistent, flowery with hints of rose, complex even up to leather and tar. Taste: dry, full-bodied, well proportioned, and even velvety. Excellent with red meats, roasted, skewered, or grilled and especially with wild game.
Critical Acclaim
The 2018 Barolo Bussia is a very good wine for the year. Aromatic, translucent and nicely delineated, the Bussia is not a blockbuster, but it is quite an improvement over some of the wines that have emerged from this cellar in the recent past. Dark cherry, spice, lavender, leather, menthol and orange peel give this mid-weight Barolo lovely exoticism. <br/><br/>Drink 2022-2033
Crushed raspberry, wild thyme and sweet spices lift from the glass of this single-cru Barolo. Roasted sliced plums with anise and clove meld with dusty earthy notes on the pretty and fine palate. Drink now–2035.<br/><br/>
