Fresh, vibrant, and beautifully complex. A clean, malty foundation accentuated by bright complex fruit, delicate spice, dried flowers, and gentle honeyed vanilla notes that linger on the palate. This is a wonderful whisky which is very versatile, but I can only imagine what it would taste like at 46% and unchill-filtered like the wood finish expressions.

Smooth and mellow, like nuts drizzled with honey or Bit O’Honey candy, with a light vanilla finish. Matured in Bourbon casks for 10 years.

2010 Edition. Perhaps the most enigmatic aroma of them all: delicate yet assertive, sweet yet dry, young yet oaky: a malt tone poem; flaky oakiness throughout but there us an impossibly complex toastiness to the barley which seems to suggest the lightest hint of smoke; amazingly long for such a light dram, drying from the initial sweetness but with flaked almonds amid the oakier, rich cocoa notes; you might find the occasional “orange variant” where the extra degree of oak, usually from a few too many fist-fill casks, has flattened out the most extreme peaks and troughs of complexity.
