Critical Acclaim
High-toned, clean and expressive, with lemongrass, meadow blossom and green herb flavors driven by prickly acidity. Chalky mineral notes pulse through, bringing firmness and energy. Drink now through 2029.
Apricot and fleshy nectarine flavors are dusted with ground ginger and yeast notes in this delicious, generous, round white, with savory undercurrents. Mineral accents linger on the medium finish. Drink now.
Light and crisp, with expressive flavors of white peach and delicate blossom notes. The palate is approachable and charming, lifted by refreshing acidity and a clean, focused finish. Easy-drinking yet well-made, showing clarity and energy.
The 2024 Schlosskellerei Gobelsburg Kamptal Grüner Veltliner opens with an intense and vinous bouquet of yellow seed fruits intermingled with saline notes of crushed rocks and green leaves. The wine is round and charming on the textural palate and more supple than the Domæne Veltiner. This is a medium-bodied Kamptal with quite intense and persistent fruit and tender minerality. Fine tannins and bitters make this an excellent, textured food wine. 12.5% stated alcohol. Screw-cap closure. Tasted in April 2025.
The 2021 Domæne Gobelsburg Kamptal Grüner Veltliner opens with an intense and elegant nose of ripe and crisp fruits as well as spicy seed aromas. On the palate, this is a lush, round and savory, well-structured and aromatic Kamptal Veltliner with good intensity on the finish. 12.5% stated alcohol. Screw-cap closure. Tasted at the domaine in September 2022.
