Aromas of cured meat, plums, black cherries and crushed herbs. Full-bodied with fine, silky tannins. Ripe red fruit is complimented by bright acidity and ground spice. There is a clear note of vanilla curd at the finish. Lovely. Drink or hold. (James Suckling)

Spiced red and black fruits, peppered game, chocolate, incense, and some leathery notes all emerge from the 2018 Syrah Descendants Liegeois Dupont, a medium to full-bodied, pure, beautifully balanced Syrah that has quality tannins and a great finish. It will keep for 8-10 years, but it’s ready to go today as well. This release is all Syrah from the Les Gossess Vineyard on Red Mountain and spent 18 months in 33% new American and French oak.
