Critical Acclaim
This impressive Finger Lakes dry riesling has a wide spectrum of stone-fruit and citrus aromas with floral notes. Ripe and generous, but very well-structured. Lots of citrus-zest freshness at the finish. A cuvee of all the estate riesling vineyards: 50% HJW, 25% Julia, 15% Josef and 15% Magdalena. Drink or hold.
There's a sun-kissed orchard feel to this, like ripe white peaches, pears and citrus still dangling from the trees. Rewind a few months and their spring blossoms are there, too, along with a honeyed scent. Intensely citrus acidity, like a squeeze of lemon to the tongue, is matched by concentrated fruit and texture; a lingering orange peel note to the finish. Picked later—and therefore riper—this is an opulent wine with the ability to age for several more years.
A distinct style, with mustard flower, yuzu, Jonagold apple and elderflower notes that are fresh and well-defined. Offers weight and cut through the finish. Drink now through 2029. 800 cases made.
Gentle aromas of white peach, guava and citrus blossom are flecked with honey. There's some textural, waxy richness on the bone-dry palate that's cut through with a lift of crisp acidity. This versatile, food-friendly wine should be drunk slightly chilled but not too cold.
