Aromas of crushed blackberries, blackcurrants, spices, herbs, walnuts, rosemary, wet earth and iodine. Medium- to full-bodied with a compact, seamless texture and well-integrated tannins. Broad and structured, with a smooth, mineral-laced finish. Drink or hold.

The nose features aromas of pepper, earth, wild herbs and blackberries. On the palate, tart and sweet blackberries star, with a lift from an emergent blueberry note, while more earth and herbs provide balance. Lively acid washes over chalky tannins to create an overall feel which is fresh and cool, but with brightness.

An electric magenta/ruby color, the 2023 Greppicante is fruity and floral with a perfume of candied red berries, crushed roses, and fresh sweet herbs lifting from the glass. The palate brings forward good energy and crunchy freshness of fruit, followed by a gamey, underlying richness, plush tannins, and a snappy finish. It’s a charming Rosso to enjoy over the coming 6-8 years.
