The 2021 Isosceles is remarkably pretty, with a peppery array of wild herbs, mint leaf and tart cherries. Silken in feel, it reveals depths of ripe red and black fruits that slowly saturate as a core of vibrant acidity maintains energy throughout. The finish is structured and long, leaving a tart concentration of primary fruits and a balsamic twang.<br/><br/>

A concentrated and rich nose with aromas of blood plums, mocha, prunes and baking spices. The plate is full-bodied with firm tannins and long, lingering notes of blackberry compote, roasted meat, graphite and citrus rind. Made from a blend of 86% cabernet sauvignon, 7% cabernet franc and 7% merlot. It needs time in bottle for the tannins to soften. Drinkable now, but best from 2028.

Intense aromas of black plum, crushed elderberry, violet, smoked meat and turned earth make for a cohesive nose on this legendary blend of 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc and 7% Merlot. Firm, expertly integrated tannins frame the palate's lively and rich flavors of strawberry, dried herb and pepper.

Roasted black plum aromas meet with tobacco leaf on the nose of this blend of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Merlot and 6% Cabernet Franc. The palate shows a lot of primary fruit flavors, from black plum to blackberry, with Christmas spices proving quite prominent. (Matt Kettmann)
