The entry-level Mullineux 2024 Swartland Kloof Street Chenin Blanc is bright and approachable, offering fresh apple, honeycomb and lemon blossom with a lively, clean finish. Old-vine Chenin Blanc is presented here in a pure stainless steel expression that emphasizes drinkability. Sourced largely from Paardeberg granite vineyards in the Swartland, the wine captures the sunny fruit generosity of the region while remaining bone dry and seriously food-friendly thanks in part to the "false perception of sweetness" that this grape sometimes gives, explains vintner Andrea Mullineux. This is an excellent value buy.

Lovely purity of fruit here, showing notes of nectarines, sliced apples and crushed stones on the nose. It’s creamy and medium- to full-bodied on the palate. Solid chenin blanc. From old vines on granite soils in the Paardeberg and in shale/schist soils in Kasteelberg. Drink now. Screw cap.
