Kumeu River Kumeu River Rays Road Chardonnay 2025 750ml

Tasting Notes

Lifted aromas of white peach, citrus pith, creamed cashew, and crushed flint open the nose of this single-vineyard Hawke's Bay white. The palate is sleek, vibrant, and precise, driven by a bright, mouthwatering core of acidity and a distinct, talcy mineral structure. Entirely barrel-fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged in older French oak, it gains subtle textural roundness and subtle nutty undertones without obscuring the site's signature limestone focus, finishing long, taut, and distinctly saline. Possesses the impressive concentration, energy, and structural balance to develop beautifully in the bottle over 7 to 12 years.
