The 2021 Pizzella Malbec is ripe without excess and shows more black than red fruit, and it’s juicy and velvety, dense and with fine tannins. It has a touch of vanilla that makes it very attractive and pleasant.

Aromatic herbs blend with berries on the inviting nose. The same notes repeat on the palate of this medium-bodied red. The grapes are sourced from Altamira in Uco Valley giving this wine bright acidity and a mineral texture. (Jesica Vargas)

The 2021 Malbec La Posta Pizzella from Tupungato, Uco Valley was 50% aged in used barrels. Purple in hue. The nose presents notes of plum, hints of herbs and aromas from the aging process. Offering good value for money, it’s indulgent and expansive in the mouth with gentle tannins, coming out sweeter than in previous years. (Joaquín Hidalgo)
