An earthy, autumnal nose of cherry, dried mint and baking spices leads to a midweight palate that's ultrafresh, with racy acidity, well-tucked oak and chalky, somewhat drying tannins. Drink at room temperature beside a plate of fatty cured meats and cheeses.

The 2021 Cabernet Franc, aged in oak, is very floral and red-fruited in character, with ripe strawberry, blood orange and sweet vanilla nuances. Fine tannins and notably soft acids lead me to believe the 2021 is not a long-term prospect, but it's a nice wine in a tough vintage.<br/><br/>
